The Southside church implements various ministries in order to better serve our members as well
as the surrounding community. In addition to the various departments within our church,
our ministries include Children's Ministries, Communications Ministries, Family Life Ministries,
Personal Ministries and Youth Ministries.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
We provide a Christian learning experience for children of all ages through our Sabbath school program. Children's Classes include a beginner class (Cradle Roll) for ages 1-4, a kindergarten class for ages 4-7,
a primary class for ages 7-9, a junior class for ages 10-12, a youth class for teens. Teachers and assistants follow a specific curriculum designed to foster the child's relationship with God.
COMMUNICATIONS MINISTRIES
The communications team maintains our church website, puts together a church directory,
and distributes the church newsletter.
DISCOVER BIBLE STUDY GUIDES
This series of colorful, easy-to-understand guides provides an educational journey through the Bible.
FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES
Our endeavor in providing this ministry stems from the complexity of the family unit.
It is our plan to provide assistance, resources, and guidance to individuals and families
for the many situations that arrive in daily life through seminars, outings, and resource
materials available to us. In addition, we plan and provide family "gatherings" to further
nurture our individual family units and our church family as a whole.
PERSONAL MINISTRIES
This ministry focuses on witnessing for Jesus Christ. We work in conjunction with the
audio visual department to provide the annual NET seminars and media. We also place
and maintain magazine boxes containing free copies of the magazine
Signs of the Times throughout our community.
YOUTH MINISTRIES
We also are a ministry that provides fellowship and support for the youth of Southside
Seventh-day Adventist Church.
WOMEN’S MINISTRIES
The Women's Ministries wishes to encourage and challenge Seventh-day Adventist women
in their daily walk as disciples of Jesus Christ and as members of His church.
The mission of Women's Ministries is, in the larger sense, common to all Christians,
that of uplifting Christ in the church and in the world.
